Having Trouble Finding Profitable Niches?

One of the BEST niche marketing research tools is also one of the CHEAPEST. Just type in a word and it finds OODLES of related key phrases that people are searching for. It identifies hidden niches you wouldn't think of on your own. Then it shows you the demand figures plus the number of competitors, PLUS a "commercial intention score" for EACH keyphrase. And a green light for the BEST keyphrases. CLICK HERE (and yes, that's my affiliate link!)

Fixing “The URL is not valid and can not be loaded” error

10-Nov-2009

My wife’s computer started to play up and we’re not sure what triggered it, but she couldn’t see ANY websites at all. Here’s the solution that worked for me.

By the way, anytime you get an error message, you can do a Google search for the exact words of the alert message you are getting.

Our problem:

Pam couldnt get any internet sites on her Firefox browser. Internet Explorer was the same, from memory. All we got was a grey screen with a popup that said… The URL is not valid and can not be loaded.

The solution:

In Firefox, go to Tools, go to Addons, select Extensions, disable all the extensions, restart Firefox. At this point, her usual startup sites were visible — so the problem half solved. We then re-activated the extensions one by one to see if we could isolate one of them as the cause of the problem. Turns out that none of them was the individual cause.

My guess is that process of disabling the Firefox extensions then re-enabling them re-established some software connection/s that had somehow broken.

Anyhow it’s working again. And hopefully this post will help some other web travellers. If so, feel free to post a comment below.

Cheers,
Gary Harvey

That’s a new one. Apparently one of the extensions caused FireFox to stop trying to connect you to the net. I wonder if one of those extensions was trying to patch and it errored out causing the problem. At least you fixed it. Worse case, you probably would have had to re-install Firefox.

I have never seen that before! However well done for sorting it out. My first impression would have been some sort of virus that has changed the local DNS. But hey, you saved your self a hole load of agony fixing it that easily. Ill try that first if I get any issues.

I find this most confusing! Why would FF extensions cause IE to stop working. It illogical captain!

One of the issue with firefox extensions is that anybody can develope them, while this is good in a way it can often lead to conficts between other bit of softwear and more likly in this case other Firefox extensions or even hardware drivers!
