NicheHorde Review Including Logged-in Screenshots
I joined Jon Leger’s NicheHorde and have been having a jolly good poke around inside the site these last few days, so here is my review of Niche Horde for you.
You’ve probably read what it says at his site…
Niche Horde will help you…
| Find niche markets and keywords that you can easily rank for in the search engines. | |
| Discover new keywords in your current niches that you can target. | |
| Find high paying AdSense keywords and markets to focus your efforts on. | |
So what I’d like to do is take you behind the scenes, so I’ve loaded the NicheHorde application (to make it run on my home computer – you have to do that before you can log in), then I’ve logged in.
By the way the “app” is lightweight. You hardly notice it running. It isnt slowing my machine down in any noticeable way at all… in case you were wondering.
Let’s take a look at what NicheHorde shows you.
Think of a niche.
Pets.
Baby.
Foreclosure.
Whatever.
For this example… travel.
Using NicheHorde to investigate the travel niche.
I entered the word travel in the keyword box and there were so many results that it took TWENTY ONE clicks on the Page Down button to get to the bottom of the page.
Twenty one !!
That means plenty of data… plenty of sub-niches to explore.
Too much data actually.
So I typed the number 2 into the minimum bid box so it only shows bids at $2 and above. That cut the list back to only 5 “page downs”. In other words, I’ve instantly got myself a nice long list of subniches within the travel niche — every one of them has search volume over 500 per month and they all have a minimum of $2 per click. That list is more than 4 pages long.
The list is still a bit too long for my liking, so I raised the minimum bid to $4 then $5 and here’s what it delivered…

Look at that. A whole bunch of related keyphrases, all with good traffic volumes, and all with good earnings potential in Adsense. You can also promote related affiliate products to your site visitors.
As you can see, you get search volume for all keyphrases, you get bid price (which is what an Adwords advertiser will be paying Google for each click) and you get SOC.
What’s SOC? — Strength of competition.
Let me show you.
I’ll click on that hyperlinked 253 for backpacker travel insurance. And up comes a page which shows you the top 4 sites in Google for that term, along with the number of links to that page and the number of links to that site. All in a few seconds. All on one screen.
It looks like this…

(it’s too wide to show here so it opens in a new window for you).
But the BEST thing about NicheHorde is probably the NICHE GROUPS… though somebody else might value the constantly growing list of Latest Niches as their #1 favorite.
Discovering Niche Groups, courtesy of NicheHorde
In this next screengrab the groups are sorted by Count. You just click the hyperlinked word ‘count’ at the top of the count column and the sort takes place, putting the niche with the biggest count at the top of the list. What’s it counting? The number of related keywords in that group.
In other words you’ve got the info you need here to select a topic for your next niche site.
Click here to see some of the niche groups.
And again NicheHorde presents you with a ton of different niches. It took TWENTY ONE PAGE DOWN CLICKS to get the bottom of page 1.
And as I write, there are 9 pages of niche groups. And yes, they’re all equally long. Well, page 8 was 21 clicks on the page down button so I imagine they all are.
Silly me.
I missed this before.
“4,090 niche groups found in the database.”
It says so right on the screen.
Okay, 4090 niche groups should be enough to get you started, eh?
And new groups are added every half hour or so.
What happens when you click on that hyperlinked word ‘apartments’ at the top of the last screenshot? (the one that was too wide to display sensibly on this page)
Let me show you…

So you’ve now got a whole bunch of related subniches all part of the apartments niche. Personally I wouldnt be doing anything with apartments but it’s just an example of how NicheHorde works.
Let’s run another example… using the initial keyword ‘horse’.
There are enough horse fans out there and they are doing a fair bit of searching for horse topics, as this screengrab shows.

If you were targeting Adsense income, you’d be attracted to horse insurance from that list, wouldnt you? Well, let’s click that link and see…

So here we are with a small group of horse related keyphrases, both over $6 a click and with a decent number of searches. And that only took minutes to find them.
One final example of a big NICHE GROUP… the cruises market.
I say big because it’s got 336 related keyphrases in this group. And that was when I took this screenshot. By the time you’re reading this, it’s likely to have grown considerably larger because the database is CONSTANTLY GROWING. Every subscriber can help it grow without doing anything more than running the lightweight little bit of software that Jon supplies you with. Easy peasy.
Here’s the first bit of data on the keyword ‘cruise’…
Click here to see what NicheHorde turned up for: cruise
(opens in a new window – too wide for this page).
By doing a quick bit of filtering (which is as simple as changing the $ amount in the bid price box), we come to this…
Click here for the top results in cruises
And in case you’re wondering, yes, there are MORE LUCRATIVE markets than these — BY FAR. (I found some that topped $30 per click with many in that niche over $20, and very many over $10 per click). But these few I’ve covered here do demonstrate the main functionality you get with NicheHorde.
And of course, this online tool (which is being constantly updated) is about MUCH MORE THAN ADSENSE. I hope I havent given the wrong impression by talking about Adsense so much.
Now…
If you are looking for research about profitable niches done for you, then here’s my affiliate link so you can watch Jon Leger’s video demo and see NicheHorde in action. Enjoy…
