Here’s a power promotion tip for article writers. With the arrival on the scene of the WordPress Automatic Blog plugin, you can now piggyback your article marketing efforts on the back of this software. Let me explain…
AutomaticBlog is a WordPress plugin which draws articles by category from ArticlesBase.com and publishes them automatically on blogs that have installed this plugin. Blog owners can choose how many posts per day and which category to source the content from, and which category on their blog to publish these ArticlesBase articles in.
That means that if you submit your articles to ArticlesBase (no cost to do so), they will be automatically republished on sites using the plugin.
From memory you can include 3 links per article. By using 3 differently worded text links pointing to whatever you are promoting in your article, you can get maximum power from your one article.
Sounds like a handy bit of leverage you can get with this relatively little-known article distribution service. My hunch is… we’ll be hearing more about them.

One of the changes I’ve made here at http://GaryHarvey.net is to remove the autoblogging plugin that I was using. Actually there were TWO autoblogging processes at work here and I will post a few details here for those of you who are interested in automatic blogging.
Yes, I still use these tools on some of my other web properties. But not here, not any more.
1) Unique Article Wizard
This WordPress plugin from uniquearticlewizard.com is free to use on your blog, and it publishes articles from their paying members. The member specifies what categories to run the article in and one of the consequences is that articles can be significantly off-category.
Another downside is that the content doesn’t appear to be quality-screened so article quality can sometimes be rather ordinary. On the other hand, it’s a useful autoblogging plugin where those issues dont particularly matter to you. And it’s free.
It will also autopost content to your Blogger.com blogs.
2) Free Traffic System.
With this one, there’s no plugin but you register your blog at the freetrafficsystem.com site and create a new author at your blog, and then Nick’s system sends along articles. Unlike UAW, there is no resource panel at the end of the article but there are links within the articles and a link to FTS in the last paragraph.
Your articles must be 450 words minimum and you select both the categories and the specific blogs in his network where your articles are posted. Up to 30 blogs per article. That means 30 keyword-rich backlinks for every article you submit. No limit as to how many articles you can submit per day.
For maximum effectiveness, they suggest you enter some variations so that different versions of your written piece are spun each time it’s published. The degree that you do that is up to you, of course.
Three things I like about FTS are… Read the rest of this entry
